DUQUELAS or Ducas, a term from the Caló dialect spoken by the Gipsy Romani people, comes from the Sanskrit word “dukh?s,” which means “suffering,” “sadness,” and “deep pain.” Therein lies humanity’s greatest tool when it comes to feelings, emotions, and the transformation of suffering, tears, or pain into art.
